TABLE 2: STORAGE CHARGES

PART I: GENERAL PRINCIPLE – No.01.BG05/NCTS/LK/NT

  1. Scope: applied for storage charge of transit, international or domestic arrival or outbound cargo stored in NCTS’ warehouse.

For services provided by the Handling Company are part of aviation transportation, the Handling Company’s liability shall be subject to international conventions and regulations applicable in aviation transportation.

  1. Applicable unit:
    - "hour": where the storage time is less than 60 minutes, the storage charge will be paid at a full hourly rate.
    - "day": where the storage time is less than 24 hours, the storage charge will be paid at a full daily rate.
    - "AWB": Master Airway Bill – MAWB or House Airway Bill - HAWB or mail document
    - "AWB/time": the number of which a shipment in one an airway bill enters NCTS’s warehouse. When a shipment in one airway bill requires different storage services, each kind of storage service is considered as one time of which the shipment enters warehouse.
  2. Charging principle: The weight to be applied in calculation of storage charges is gross weight shown in the airway bill. When the shipment in one airway bill requires general and special storage services, its storage charge will be assessed by general and special storage rate to the actual gross weight of each cargo respectively.
    Cargo storage is carried out in accordance with the following principle:
    - To comply with IATA regulations and carriers’ cargo operation manual.
    - To comply with NCTS’ regulations.
    - Upon customers’ request.
  3. Payer:
    - Outbound cargo:
       + shipper will pay for the storage period from cargo acceptance time to the ETD of booking flight
       + carrier will pay for the storage period from the ETD of booking flight to the ATD of actual carrying flight. No storage exemption period shall be applied in this case.
    Note: the storage period payable by the shippers is completely separated from the carriers. Under no circumstances shall the 2 above –mentioned storage periods be accumulated.
    - Inbound cargo:

   + Consignee will pay for the storage period from the ATA to the time of delivery

   + Carrier will pay for the over-carried cargo, cargo rejected from receiving, cargo under carrier’s responsibility
- Other cases: conform to specific agreement between NCTS and service requester

  1. Chargeable storage period:
    - Outbound cargo: be counted from the time of cargo acceptance to its ATD, not included the storage exemption period.
    - Inbound cargo: be counted from ATA to the time the shipment is delivered to consignee, not included the storage exemption period.
  2. The storage exemption period: be regulated in accordance with the specific kind of storage services provided that the fee storage period can’t be accumulated. Exemption period of its respective storage service is applied once since the ATA (for import cargo) or before ETD (for outbound cargo).
  3. Fee calculation: Using storage charge table to calculate the storage charge for consignee and carrier. Under no circumstances are these two kinds of charges accumulated.
  4. Tax and fee: All the above-mentioned charges are excluded tax and fee
  5. Others:
    -
    Storage charges can be paid under contract upon request of payer

 Warehouse Renting

 

The storage period: is counted commencing from the time of cargo entering warehouse to the time of delivery.
The free storage period: delivery date for general cargo, VUN cargo.
Storage charges: subject to minimum charge and applicable highest rate.

The storage period:
  - Request for delivering cargo at the inland warehouse before the flight arrival: is counted commencing from the shipment entering the inland warehouse to the delivery time

  - Request for delivering cargo at the inland warehouse after the flight arrival: is counted commencing from the ATA of flight to the delivery time

  Storage charge: subject to applicable storage fee.

 Outbound cargo accepted at the inland warehouse

 

The storage period: is counted commencing from the cargo acceptance time at the inland warehouse to the ETD of flight.
Storage charge: subject to applicable storage fee.

 Storage of part shipment cargo

 

The free storage period: subject to applicable storage fee for each part shipment depending on its storage requirement.
Storage rate: subject to applicable storage fee for each part shipment.
Storage charge: total storage fees of all part shipment
